JILL WAINWRIGHT WALK ON 9 MARCH 2012
Many of you will remember Jill, a committed and active member of the Association, who sadly passed away last year. Starting at 2.00 pm on Friday 9 March 2012, there is to be a walk (3 miles approximately) around the beautiful campus of Exeter University and legal landmarks in Exeter, to raise funds for the Community Legal Helpdesk at the Exeter Court: one of Jill's many inspirational ideas as a member of the Law School's External relations Committee. 22-25 March 2012 - Visit to Berlin
Following the successful links forged with our German colleagues, some of whom were able to attend the 2011 Annual Conference in Leeds, and the Dinner to launch 2012 IAWJ Conference in London, a visit to Berlin between 22 - 25 March 2012 has been arranged for those interested in finding out more about the German justice system. It is hoped that we will be able to view courts in session, as well as spend time with members of the German judiciary. Please contact the Secretary for further details.
2-5 May 2012 - IAWJ 2012 Conference
The next IAWJ Conference will be taking place in London between 2 - 5 May 2012. The UKAWJ is pleased to be hosting this event. Further details are available on our special 2012 Conference page.
The Association is hoping to hold a number of Regional Events in January in the run-up to the Conference, which members are warmly invited to attend, whether or not they will be able to attend the Conference, and to bring guests.28 September 2012 - AGM and Social Event
Next year's AGM moves to a date later in the year, 28 September 2012,so as not to clash with the 2012 IAWJ Bi-ennial Conference. A social event is planned from 6.15pm, to follow the business meeting which will commence at 5.30pm. All members and associate members will be welcome to attend.
